Ahmed Musa Now On Same International Record As Legendary Zidane

Super Eagle of Nigeria’s captain, Ahmed Musa matches international record of the legendary France footballer, Zinedine Zidane Captain of the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa has now earned the most Nigerian international caps after playing against Guinea-Bissau in Nigeria’s second leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Monday, March 27. The Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau were defeated 1-0 by the Nigerian national team at the Estadio 24 de Setembro. Musa debuted for the Eagles in 2010 and played on the 2013 Nations Cup-winning squad.  Following Monday’s match he has now amassed 108 caps, breaking the previous record for Nigeria. With this milestone, he has matched the 108 national caps held by England’s Tim Cahill, Germany’s Jurgen Klinsmann, and France’s midfielder Zinedine Zidane while exceeding Patrick Vieira’s 107 international caps for France, and Frank Lampard’s 106 caps for England. Since his debut, the Nigerian forward has scored 16 goals for the national team.  He is also Nigeria’s highest scorer in the World Cup with four goals.

Achraf Ben Ayad tweeted that the University of Qatar residence where Messi resided would be transformed into a “little museum,” allowing ardent supporters to witness how Messi passed the time during a tumultuous season. His accomplishments are now poised to be immortalized.

Football Legend, Pele In Critical Medical Condition

Brazilian football legend, Pele in a very critical medical condition and confined to hospital bed till Christmas Due to the worsening of his colon cancer, Brazilian football star Pele will spend Christmas in the hospital, according to medical sources. Pele, 82, has been battling colon cancer since September 2021. On November 29, he was admitted to the hospital so that physicians could reassess his course of treatment. Pele currently needs treatment for cardiac and renal failure, according to an update on his status from the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, which was published on Wednesday, December q21. Additionally, a respiratory infection that was discovered after his hospitalization has been treated appropriately. Edson Arantes do Nascimento has been in the hospital since November 29 for a review of his chemotherapy treatment for a colon tumor and to treat a respiratory infection. According to the medical staff’s update, he has advanced oncological disease and needs more attention due to renal and cardiac dysfunctions. The patient is still hospitalized and receiving the appropriate treatment from the medical staff in a common area. Kely Nascimento, the legend’s daughter, wrote on Instagram that the support of his followers was a “great comfort” to him. Your love for him, your experiences, and your prayers, she added, are a HUGE source of comfort because they let us know we are not alone. Benzema Retires From International Football

After the epic World Cup loss, Karim Benzema has retired from France International team to focus on club football only Karim Benzema, a great football player for France and the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner, has declared his retirement from international competition. According to Daily Mail, he allegedly declined the chance to return to Qatar because of a dispute with manager Didier Deschamps. Deschamps already stated that he intends to discuss his future with the squad with the French Football Federation in the next year. He has now guided France to two World Cup finals, where they have won one and lost one. Contrarily, Benzema took home the Ballon d’Or for Player of the Year in 2022. Real Madrid won both titles in the 2021–2022 season, and Benzema led all scorers in both the UEFA Champions League and La Liga of Spain.
