Women Arrested For Selling Babies
Two women arrested for selling babies On August 27, two women named Christiana D’ivoire Iyama and Margaret Ogwu were detained by Ogun State Police Command officers for allegedly running a baby factory. The suspects were detained in response to information that Christiana Iyama, who resides at No. 4 Ibrahim Famuyiwa Street, Agbado, Ogun State, is selling babies at the aforementioned address. She reportedly used to harbor young girls and hire men to impregnate them, she would collect the baby on delivery and sell these babies to her customers. Following the information, SP Awoniyi Adekunle of the DPO Agbado division dispatched his investigators to the location of the alleged arrests of Christiana D’ivoire Iyama and Margaret Ogwu. According to a preliminary police investigation, Margaret Ogwu was one of the girls who Christiana D’ivoire housed. D’ivoire hired a guy to impregnate the girl, then she retrieved the kid when it was born and sold it to one of her clients for N400,000.
