Undergraduate Gives Birth To Five Babies At A Go
Final year student in a Nigerian University has welcomed Quintuplets Oluomachi Nwojo, a 24-year-old student, gave birth to a set of quintuplets at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), which is located in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State. The two boys and three girls who were delivered through caesarean section at around 8:24 a.m. and who Newsmen had collected at the centre are doing well. The hospital source, who asked to remain anonymous, claimed that the boys, who were still inborn at the time of the visit, “would shortly be taken out to join their sisters” and mother, who was dozing off. Oluomachi’s mother, Mrs. Cecilia Nwojo, and her brother-in-law, Chigozie Nwoye, both responded differently but both verified that twin birth runs in their respective families. While tending to one of the girls, Mrs. Nwojo, the delighted grandmother, who seems to be in her late 50s, said, “Oluomachi herself and her elder sister are twins.” In a similar vein, Chigozie mentioned that Oluomachi’s spouse Chinedum Nwoye, who was not present, had a set of twins. Nwoye, who revealed that they are from Anambra State, joined the Nwojos in thanking God and that they were prepared for help from kind people.
