Wife Stabs Husband To Death For Demanding Sex From Her
27-year-old woman has been arrested for stabbing her husband after he requested they have sex Odunayo Olumale, 27, has been detained in Oyo State on suspicion of killing her spouse Olamilekan Salaideen with a knife over an alleged sexual demand. On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, the suspect was paraded before the State Police Command in Eleyele, Ibadan, along with another 25 suspects for various offences. After three months of being apart, the suspect went back to her husband’s residence on that fatal day, according to command spokesperson SP Adewale Osifeso. On the night of the event, the deceased allegedly attempted a sexual approach to the suspect, but the approach was rejected. Violence ensued as a result, and the deceased is accused of smashing his wife’s cellphone. The accused responded by reportedly stabbing him in the upper chest with a knife. The father of another dead person reported the event to the Durbar Police Headquarters in Oyo town. Olamilekan Salaideen, 35, was fatally stabbed by his wife, Odunayo, at around 02:23 on November 16, 2022, according to a complaint made by Ismaila Tijani to the Durbar Divisional Police Headquarters on November 17. “The deceased and his wife returned to their house in the Oko Oba neighbourhood of Oyo town on the day of the occurrence, according to preliminary inquiry,” The dead attempted to have sex with his wife but was denied. This sparked a fight during which the deceased grabbed and shattered his wife’s phone on the ground. The deceased was then stabbed in the chest in retribution and died as a result.
