Ayu Must Resign – Seyi Makinde
Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde demands the resignation of Ayu The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has asked for the resignation of the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, in order for the people of the South to have a sense of belonging in the party. Makinde made this request during a meeting of South-West PDP stakeholders with the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. The Oyo State Governor, along with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has been battling the PDP over the party’s National Chairman and presidential candidate, both of whom are from the North. In his welcoming message, he did, however, refer to Atiku as “the incoming President of Nigeria in 2023.” Makinde’s assessment of Atiku drew a round of applause from the PDP stakeholders in attendance meeting.
