I Promise To Support You For President In 2027 – Atiku To Wike
Nyesom Wike and the PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku had a closed door meeting last night Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, and Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers state, met behind closed doors last night in Abuja to work out their issues. According to The Nation, at the meeting, Atiku promised to back Wike’s candidacy for the presidency in 2027 provided Wike agreed to put down his sword and back him (Atiku) in the 2023 election. Atiku met with Wike last night in a new attempt to mend their disagreements, and he persuaded Wike’s team to join the PDP campaign train. The PDP presidential candidate reportedly pledged to support Wike for the presidency in 2027, according to sources close to the meeting. Due to prior pledge violations, Wike was reportedly uncommitted to Atiku. According to reports, the governor promised to consult his team before returning to Atiku. According to sources at the meeting, Wike was not overly enthusiastic about the 2027 possibility since Atiku had made a similar promise to the Igbo during a meeting with PDP stakeholders in Enugu earlier this week. a witness to the events who spoke to the magazine said; “Atiku sent out an olive branch to Wike once again. He begged the governor to consider the wider perspective of winning the election in 2023....
