The people living in Lagos state are under compulsion by the Lagos State Government to register for Health Insurance No of their socioeconomic situation, all citizens of Lagos State must have health insurance, according to the state administration. The Lagos State Health Management Agency’s 2022 Ilera Eko Day was when the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, made this announcement. In his keynote presentation, Muri-Okunola stated that the state administration was committed to ensuring that all inhabitants have access to healthcare. “The Lagos State health insurance program is intended for all state residents, not only public personnel. The health sector has been a priority for Governor Babajide Sanwo-administration, Olu’s and one of the objectives in the health sector is to guarantee that all citizens have access to healthcare. It is intended for all residents, regardless of their circumstances or socioeconomic background. The beneficiaries will be made aware of their rights and obligations when they are able to receive healthcare thanks to the enrollee handbook and bill of rights. Everyone in Lagos State is required to have health insurance, regardless of their socioeconomic status, regardless of their ethnicity, whether they are poor or part of corporate Lagos, the informal sector, whether they are an adult or a child, he said. “Ilera Eko is the Social Health Insurance of Lagos State, backed by the Lagos State Health Scheme Law of 2015,” he said. Earlier at the ceremony, Prof. Akin Abayomi, the state commissioner for health, said the government was aiming to raise the caliber of services provided by state health institutions. The General Manager of LASHMA, Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, represented Abayomi at the occasion. She stated, “Since the start of the Ilera Eko Social Health Plan, we have made tangible efforts towards enhancing healthcare service delivery on the Scheme. “The agency has raised the Ilera Eko plan’s health benefits, and several provider-improvement measures are also being put into place solely to make sure all of our clients receive high-quality medical care,” the agency stated....
