After Argentina’s victory in the competition, the hotel room where football star Lionel Messi slept in during the Qatar 2022 World Cup will be converted into a museum.

Messi, who scored twice in the thrilling championship match against France, was instrumental in Argentina’s first World Cup victory since 1986 and was awarded tournament player of the year.

The 35-year-old won the silver boot for the competition after scoring seven goals.

Argentina’s competition started with an unexpected 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia, but they finally finished first in their group following victories against Mexico and Poland.

Argentina needed to fight hard to upset the Netherlands on penalties after 120 minutes of play finished in a 2-2 deadlock in the round of 16 after edging Australia 2-1.

The Albiceleste defeated a Luka Modric-led Croatian team in the semi-final 3-0 before defeating France on penalties.

Achraf Ben Ayad tweeted that the University of Qatar residence where Messi resided would be transformed into a “little museum,” allowing ardent supporters to witness how Messi passed the time during a tumultuous season. His accomplishments are now poised to be immortalized.
