PHEDC confirms the electrocution of their staff
One of its employees was electrocuted in Calabar, according to the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC).
Fortunately, the employees made it.
He was electrocuted while working on electrical projects at Army Junction on the Muritala Mohammed highway in Calabar for PHEDC.
The electrocuted police was immobile at the top of the pole when the crowd approached, as shown in a video from the moment that has gone viral online.
The wounded official is then shown being carried down by two electrical personnel after officials were seen setting up two ladders for them to climb.
The PHEDC regional manager, Mr. Collins Igwe, said that the personnel was transferred to the Navy hospital for treatment.
He was brought back to life in the hospital and is now being let go.
After being released from the hospital, he claims to have spoken to his pal and that he sounds “strong.”
