Foremost Exam body, NECO releases 2022 ssce results

The results of the 2022 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination have been made public by the National Examinations Council.

At the NECO Headquarters in Minna, Niger State, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar of NECO, released the results on Thursday.

In addition to the outcomes, Wushishi said that 29 supervisors were placed on a blacklist by the council due to their suspected involvement in numerous malpractice offenses.

He said that four institutions had their recognition revoked for two years due to repeated violations.

Wushishi further said that compared to previous years, the council saw a decrease in cheating during the internal senior school certificate exams in 2022.

He said that there has been a noticeable decrease in examination fraud.

13, 595 malpractice instances were discovered as opposed to 20, 003 in 2021, indicating a noticeably lower number of malpractice cases.

“29 supervisors were placed on the blacklist for a variety of offenses, including inadequate monitoring, insults, and aiding and abetting during the exams.”

According to Dantani, 1, 209,703 individuals enrolled for the examinations, but only 1, 198,412 of them actually took the test.

He said that there were 727, 864 candidates—or 60.74 percent—who received five credits or more, including English Language and Mathematics.

Dantani further mentioned that there are 1, 031 individuals with special needs, among which 98 have albinism, 177 have autism, 574 have hearing loss, and 107 have vision impairments.
