Masquerades disrupt sunday service, flog pastor and members

On Sunday, several masquerades attacked a Church (name withheld) in Shikal village, Lantang South Local Government Area, Plateau State, and whipped worshippers and the pastor.

The masquerades were also accused of destroying the Church’s musical instruments and disrupting the Sunday service.

According to a report, the masquerades assaulted the Church while the believers were inside.

According to him, the behavior of the masquerades stunned and surprised the church members, who assembled to rescue what was left of their goods by the invaders rather than taking any counter-offensive action.

“Elders of the community are making attempts to get to the bottom of the situation in order to restore normalcy,” the insider stated.
